Home Page - Bowls Lincolnshire (Men)

NOTE: This sub-web currently only displays information relevant to clubs in Section 2 of Bowls Lincolnshire (including the ASC Metals Triples League).

LEE ROAD BC have withdrawn from the ASC Metals Triples League for the 2021 season. Teams will now have a blank Sunday on the date they were due to play against Lee Road.

The ASC Metals Triples Handicap KO is not affected as Lee Road had not put in an entry.

Also major long-term roadworks have commenced on Holdingham roundabout, the A15/A17 junction just north of Sleaford. At peak times these could cause delays for anyone travelling to play at Sleaford Town via that junction.

There are also currently overnight closures (from 8.00pm) of the A15 between Lincoln (Harmston turn-off) and Sleaford which will affect teams returning in the Lincoln direction.

Noticeboard extract 2 -  2021 SEASON - UPDATED 11/04/2021

Following a meeting of the secretaries of the Lincoln area bowls leagues, all clubs are advised to prepare for a full season of league and competition bowling.

The Section 2 Fours League fixtures from 2020 have been carried over to their corresponding dates in 2021 and the first fixtures are on 30th April (NOTE: Hykeham have withdrawn and their fixtures have been deleted). However, the ASC Metals Triples League fixtures have been completely re-drawn as two teams (Grantham and Washingborough 'B') withdrew - also due to current Covid-19 restrictions it is not possible for both of the Long Bennington teams to have home matches at the same time. The new fixtures are now shown on this website and have been circulated to clubs.

All 2020 Competitions were declared void by Bowls England so have been drawn afresh for 2021 (there were several additional entries in many competitions). Play by/play on dates for the rounds within Section 2 have now been confirmed and are shown on each competition draw. Similarly a new draw has been made for the ASC Metals Triples Handicap KO and the first round matches are on 20th June.

Please note that Bowls England have shortened the format of their pairs, triples and rinks competitions - details are shown on the draw for each competition.

Any Section 2 clubs with concerns should contact Kris Moore or Colin Barks.
